Passport Size Photo Online Delivery in India: How It Works and What to Check
You can order passport size photos online and have them delivered to your home anywhere in India. It saves a trip to a studio, and it is useful when you need prints for a form but cannot get out. Here is how it works and what to check.
How ordering passport photos online works
- Upload a photo. A clear, front facing photo works best. Eyes open, no hair across the face, even light.
- Choose the size. Pick the country or document, such as Indian passport, OCI, PAN card or a visa.
- Pick a background colour. White is the usual choice. Red, blue and grey are available when a form asks for them.
- We edit and print. The photo is cleaned up and printed on photographic paper.
- Delivery. The prints are packed and shipped to your address.
What it costs
At Snap Print a set of passport prints starts at ₹99. A sticker back, which lets you peel and paste the photo onto a form, adds ₹27. Delivery is free on orders of ₹198 and above, which means two sets. Below that a flat delivery fee applies at checkout.
What to check before you order
- The size the application asks for. See our guides or the size pages for the US, Schengen and OCI.
- The photo itself. A selfie taken at arm’s length can distort the face. Ask someone to take it from a metre away if you can.
- The paper. Photographic paper holds up better than inkjet, which can smear when wet.
- How many copies you need. Most forms ask for a few, and it helps to keep spares.
Online delivery or a local studio?
A studio can take the photo for you on the spot, which is handy if you do not have a good picture. Online printing is better when you already have a photo, want to avoid the trip, or need an unusual size. Many people order one set from a studio and extras online, or the other way round.
